With the commemoration of the "World Environment Day", the inaugural symbolic tree planting of the programme “Green through Cricket” was held on 15th June 2019. This programme is meant to create awareness on climate change and counter Global Warming by planting trees alongside the World Cup Cricket Tournament.

Along with the tree planting, a theme song and a Website were launched.

The 2nd Meeting of the Board of Management of the South Asian Centre for Teacher Development (SACTD), Meepe in Sri Lanka was held today, 27th Sep. 2019 at “Isurupaya”, Ministry of Education, Pelawatte, Sri Lanka.

Minister of Education, Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam being a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO was requested to participate for the 206th Session of UNESCO in Paris, which was held from 3rd April to 17th April 2019.

Children from age 6 to 12 are invited to "Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa (2019-2020)".

The entry period starts on July 1st, 2019 and ends on September 30th,2019.
